Amai Kuda
Amai Kuda is a singer/songwriter, community activist and the mother of a young child. The name Amai Kuda means "mother to the will of the creator" in the southern African language Shona. Through parenthood, community work and art, Amai is a vehicle for creation and for change. She co-founded and coordinates two organizations, Moyo Wa Africa and Seven Directions, dedicated to the decolonization of African peoples and to indigenous solidarity respectively.
Kay'la "Kiki" Mahy
Kay'la "Kiki" Mahy is a creative, free spirited moonchild navigating the path of life with gratitude, humility and the sweet taste of poetry on her tongue. She not only loves cheesecake, lilies and the smell of rain, but is also fascinated by butterflies and is trying very hard to be a turtle. A native to Brantford, ON, she fell in love with the arts at a young age and learned to channel her creative energy through writing, singing and acting- performing in school plays, choirs and coffee houses. A voyeur by nature, her work is an integration of poetry and music that delivers raw and honest truths about the two worlds she's come to know- the one that surrounds her and the one found within.
The Duel - short film by Morgan Muscat
A dark and brooding tale in the vein of Sin City, in which Caleb, a young artist, struggles to overcome his troubled past by sketching a comic book world in his graphic novels, a world that only he could pull himself into.
Soon enough, Caleb finds himself unable to distinguish between what is fantasy and what is reality in the real world, forcing him to wage war against his own creation, Seth, his antagonist character.
Special Feature: Nadiya will be on hand to do tarot and astrology readings
