Nichola Ward - Spoken Word and Performance Poet
Nichola Ward is a writer, spoken word artist and performance poet. Her work has been featured at "the Art Bar, Live Words, Hot Sauce... and, she is an alumni of "Night at the Indies". Her performances have been described as "...witty, thought provoking and deeply moving..." Samples of her work and more information can be found at www.NicholaWard.com - She is the author of 3 chapbooks: "Babylon Alley", "Found Album" & "Little Sarah".
Rehaset Yohanes
Rehaset Yohanes is best known for her work and activism around the local music scene in Atlanta, GA. Now a recent transplant to Canada, Rehaset is a fresh face in the Toronto art scene and hopes to continue to evolve as an artist by exploring other forms and mediums and ultimately help "Bridge the Gap Between Afrikans and the World."
Jamieson Eakin
Jamieson Eakin hails from Alberta and works up a sweat at the Buddies In Bad Times Theatre. Most recently appeared in Happy (Sky Gilbert) as a big time trouble maker. Sings songs about stuff he likes and dislikes, gets cast in fringe show's from time to time, Death to Dating (Factory main space 08' ohh yah!). Just bought a bike! Zoom Zoom Zoom!
Sedina Fiati sings fun 80s tunes!!
Sedina Fiati is Toronto based actor, singer, creator and producer who fell in love with the performing arts at the age of 12 and for better or for worse has not looked back. Most recently, Sedina appeared in b current's production of Wise.Woman at Theatre Centre and is also a member of b current's rAiz'n ensemble. She is currently working on a multi disciplinary show called Last Dance.

Pride and Resistance, is a series of five three-minute videos on queer history created by Nancy Nicol. Pride and Resistance takes a whirlwind tour through forty years of local and national LGBTQ history celebrating the political history of Pride Day in Toronto.

Stand Together is a documentary on the lesbian and gay liberation movement in Canada between 1967 and 1987 focusing on the human rights amendment campaign in Ontario. It draws together a rich body of documents, images and rarely seen archival footage with dramatizations and interviews, to bring to life a moving legacy.
The World March 4 Peace and Non-Violence aims to ban the Bomb and create a new social consciousness of nonviolence. Because bombing for peace is like screwing for virginity. Happy Pride to all!

A few words by Arsham Parsi - the founder and Executive Director of Iranian Queer Railroad. IRQR is an international, non for profit, queer human rights organization based in Canada.
Dalia spins retro 80s tunes for Indies Pride Party!
She plays a mix of funk, soul, hip hop, r&b, house, reggae, retro, pop, electro and future boogie- basically whatever's good! She also wrote the hip hop column, On The Downlow in Tribe magazine back in the 90s for over 5 years. Today she is the official DJ for Shebang! all female breakers and hosts and dj's monthly at Never Forgive Action, Hip-Hop Karaoke, Block Party and Synchro as well as random nights and events around the city.

LAL is a musical ensemble that started in 1998. LAL is about music and social change. We are a collective that represent Uganda, Bangladesh, Barbados, India and everything in-between. We sound like everything, thus we sound like nothing. We love all kinds of music from jazz, hip hop, dub, soul, international folk music, experimental music, you name it, we've probably listened to it at some point and if not then we're eager to learn.

Films - ~Night at the Indies~ Vancouver Short Film Slam
To support independent film makers we are offering you a chance to screen your productions. Every month we will set aside an hour of our program for film makers to show their latest work. We will then ask the audience to judge the submissions. The winning submission will be promoted on our website and presented at next months ~Night at the Indies~ in Toronto.
- Films submitted must be 10 minutes or less in length
- Films must be on DVD
- Registration begins at 8:00 p.m. and will end when the hour is programmed
- Film makers must submit their own original productions and retain all rights to their productions
- There are no submission fees or screening costs beyond your $5.00 admission to enjoy our evening's program
- This is an all ages venue so may not be suitable for explicit material

Music - Mary Kastle Project
Since graduating from Vancouver's Capilano College with her Bachelors of Jazz Studies, pianist/vocalist Mary Kastle has found herself most at home bridging the divide between jazz and contemporary pop songwriting. She has released two EPs and criss-crossed Canada several times in support of them.
Her forthcoming debut full-length recording will be produced by Juno-Award winning avant-folk producer/guitarist Steve Dawson and distributed in Canada through Outside Music in Spring 2010.
