Forty Years, Hockey Nights (Canada, 2007. 7:12 min)
Director: John O'Connor
All sport fans hope that one day their team will win the championship. But in Toronto, after forty years without a Stanley Cup win, fans of their beloved Toronto Maple Leafs no longer have such hope. They have Faith!
Forty Years, Hockey Nights is a short documentary on "Leafs Nation", the legion of die-hard Toronto Maple Leafs fans.
The Parting Gift (Canada. 2007.20:00 min)
Director: Rick Rose
When Theo's winnings fall short on the nation's biggest game show he is sent packing with a lifetime's supply of green peas. In desperation, Theo sets out on a quest for take-out Chinese food and ends up discovering his true fortune.
Grenada: The Maroon Spirit (Canada, 2006. 50:00 min)
Director: David Maidman
Grenada: The Maroon Spirit was filmed on the island of Grenada in the eastern Caribbean in November 2004, two months after Hurricane Ivan "mashed up" the island. The film documents the massive destruction a class 3 hurricane can bring to a small island nation, destroying or damaging 90% of people's homes.
A story of hope, it tells the amazing story of the people coming together in their neighbourhoods and communities to rebuild their nation. They credit Hurricane Ivan with rekindling the "Maroon Spirit" from Grenada's turbulent history amongst the population once again.

MUSIC - Mr. M and the All Nighters
Mr M & The All Nighters are Canada's Northern Soul revival band. Founded in September 2006 and inspired by the Wigan Casino scene circa 73-81; the band plays classic stompin' Northern Soul in the British tradition [uptempo/upbeat]. The name Mr M & The All Nighters is derived from the "all-nighters" that occurred at Wigan Casino from 1973-1981. Mr M's was a side room of Wigan Casino dedicated to rare oldies, named after the Casino manager Gerry Marshall. Northern Soul continues to inspire performers ranging from Soft Cell, The Jam/Paul Weller, Oasis, Ocean Colour Scene, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, Amy Winehouse and many more.
