1. Featured Film: Hear the Story.

Project directed by Alison Duke. Ten young people have created a film eloquently describing their struggle with unemployment, discrimination and violence and how they are taking control of their own futures.

2. Film presented by Regent Park Film Festival: Searching for Sandeep. Directed by Poppy Stockwell.

Despite living in one of the gay capitals of the world, 28 year-old Sydney filmmaker Poppy Stockell is forced online in her search for love. When she meets 31-year-old Anglo-Indian Sandeep Virdi, she thinks she's found the one. Unfortunately, Sandeep lives at home in the British Midlands with her conservative Sikh parents and three younger sisters. Oh, and she's not out to any of them. Through raw, incredibly frank footage, Searching 4 Sandeep follows Poppy and Sandeep's relationship across two years and three continents.

3. "Inna Di Wardrobe"

"Inna Di Wardrobe" is Deidre D-Lishus Walton's first play, and has been developed with generous assistance from the Ontario Arts Council's theatre reserve program. The play tells the story of a young Jamaican-Canadian woman who comes out to her family as a lesbian. Inna Di Wardrobe is their sometimes funny, sometimes tragic journey ofcoming to terms with her coming out.

The cast for the reading will be as follows:

Granpa: David Smith

Young Performance Artists Needed!

We are looking for male & female performers between 15 to 20 years old for a workshop and performance of a new work called "Poetry Suite". This artistic opportunity is available for the following:

• 10 Actors
• 10 Singers
• 10 Dancers
• 5 Poets

Audition Date: Saturday, October 25th

Where: St. Christopher House, 248 Ossington Avenue

Performance date: Sunday, March 1, 2009 (Harbourfront Centre)
